Tumpek Kandang
This sacred day symbolizes humanity’s gratitude to God (Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, manifested as Sang Hyang Siwa Pasupati or Sang Hyang Rare Angon, the protector of animals) for the essential role animals play in daily life and ecological balance. The celebration also reflects the Balinese Hindu philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which highlights the importance of maintaining harmony between humans, nature—including animals—and the Divine.
