Galungan 2026
Galungan is one of Bali’s most sacred and visually spectacular holidays, celebrating the victory of dharma (good) over adharma (evil). Penjor — tall, decorated bamboo poles — line every street across the island, transforming Bali into a living work of art. Families gather, temples overflow with offerings, and the atmosphere is unlike anything else on the island. Galungan marks the arrival of ancestral spirits who visit their earthly families for ten days, culminating in Kuningan.
