Suwat Water Festival
The Festival Air Suwat (FAS), or Suwat Water Festival, stands as a heartfelt tribute to one of the village’s most precious resources — water. Initiated by Suwat’s local leaders and community, this annual celebration was born from a shared desire to preserve nature while strengthening the village’s cultural identity.
Since its humble beginnings in 2014, the festival has evolved into a signature event blending tradition, creativity, and environmental awareness. Beyond the festivities, it serves as a proud symbol of Suwat’s unity and commitment to sustainability.
At its core lies the sacred “Perang Yeh” or Water War — a joyful ritual honoring Suwat’s pure springs, once revered by the kings of Gianyar. It’s a celebration that refreshes the body, spirit, and soul.
