Ikan Kuah Kuning

Ingredients

  • 500-gram Skipjack Tuna
  • 5 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 chilies
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 2 cm turmeric
  • 2 lemongrass
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 green tomato
  • bunch of Thai basil
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon bouillon
  • 750 ml water

How to Cook

Place shallots, garlic, chilies, ginger, and turmeric in a food processor and process into a paste.

Boil the water with spices paste, lemongrass, bay leaves.

Once the water boiled add the fish, salt, bouillon and stir.

Cut tomatoes and green tomatoes into for pieces.

Add the tomatoes into the pot. Cook the fish for 25 minutes.

After 25 minutes add Thai basil inthe end and stir.

Ikan Kuah kuning is ready to serve.

Ikan kuah kuning is best to serve with papeda and sambal.
