  • 500 grams beef
  • 8 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 4 cm galangal
  • one teaspoon of coriander seeds
  • 3 chilies
  • one tablespoon of tamarind
  • one tablespoon of palm sugar
  • 100 grams sweet soy sauce
  • one teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of bouillon powder

How to Cook


Cut the beef into 3 cm cubes.


Place shallots, garlic, ginger, galangal, coriander seeds, chilies, tamarind. palm sugar, salt, and bouillon powder in a food processor and process into a paste.


Mix spices paste and sweet soy sauce. Marinate the beef with mixed spices pastes for 1 hour.


Place the beef on skewers and Grill the until well done cooked.


Sate Maranggi is ready to serve.


Sate Maranggi is best to serve with rice, sambal kecap and pickled cucumber.
