Ubud Food Festival
Dates for the 2027 edition have not been announced yet. The Ubud Food Festival is normally held in late May or the first days of June at Taman Kuliner, Ubud — the dates shown here are provisional and will be corrected as soon as the organiser confirms them. Check ubudfoodfestival.com before booking travel around it.
The Ubud Food Festival is Bali’s most celebrated annual culinary event, transforming the cultural heart of Ubud into four extraordinary days of flavour, fire, and connection. Held at Taman Kuliner with dining events spilling into the town’s top restaurants, the festival brings together chefs, farmers, producers, and food lovers from across Indonesia and the world.
2026 Theme: Farmers — Guardians of the Land and Sea. This year the festival places the people who feed us firmly at the centre of the table — the farmers, fishers, and food producers who are the stewards of Indonesia’s extraordinary culinary biodiversity. As Founder and Director Janet DeNeefe puts it: “They are not simply suppliers. They are protectors of biodiversity, carriers of knowledge and custodians of culture.”
The four-day programme includes live cooking demonstrations, curated food tours, foraging walks around Ubud, special collaboration dinners, and a thriving food market at Taman Kuliner. The 2026 line-up features Chef Prin Polsuk of Samrub Samrub Thai (Bangkok), Chef Ben Devlin of Pipit (New South Wales), Kate Reid of Lune Croissanterie (Melbourne), Chef Jovan Koraag of Mata Karanjang (Jakarta), and Balinese cacao farmer Agung Widyastuti.
Please note: the Ubud Food Festival is an annual event. The 2026 edition (its 10th) ran 28–31 May at Taman Kuliner Ubud, Ubud. Dates and the full programme for the next edition are usually announced a few months in advance — check the official Ubud Food Festival channels to confirm before making plans.
