Bali Carnival
Bali Carnival
Southeast Asia’s first Trinidad and Tobago-themed carnival, the Bali Carnival brings Caribbean energy to the Island of Gods. Held over four days in Nusa Dua, this high-energy festival features spectacular costumed parades, J’ouvert (a dawn paint-and-powder street party), pool parties, a colour festival, and live music from Caribbean and international artists.
Organised by We Are The Caribbean, the event is centred around the Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort in Nusa Dua and draws visitors from across Southeast Asia and beyond. First launched in 2022, it has quickly grown into one of Bali’s most distinctive annual events — blending the joyful chaos of Trinidad and Tobago’s street carnival tradition with Bali’s tropical setting.
What to Expect
Expect costumed masquerade bands, feather-and-sequin costumes, pulsing soca and dancehall music, and an atmosphere more Port of Spain than Nusa Dua. The colour festival segment — a nod to Holi — adds a chaotic, inclusive burst of fun accessible to anyone regardless of costuming.
