Denpasar City Anniversary
Denpasar is the capital city of Bali and home to the island’s only international airport.
Every year on February 27, the city celebrates its anniversary with festivities centered around Puputan Square. The celebration features cultural performances, competitions, and vibrant parades. Interestingly, the name “Denpasar” comes from the Balinese words den meaning “north” and passar meaning “market,” reflecting the city’s origin as a northern market area.
