Stephan Bodzin plays Savaya Bali on Saturday 26 September 2026 — doors from 3:00 PM on the Uluwatu clifftop, with the night running through sunset and out over the Indian Ocean.
Bodzin is one of the few names in techno who does not really DJ. The German producer, originally from Bremen and now based in Berlin, performs live, building his sets in real time on a rig of analogue and modular synthesisers — Moog machines at the heart of it. That approach is why his music sounds the way it does: long, soaring, patiently unfolding melodies riding hard techno rhythms. Tracks like “Singularity” and the 2015 album Powers of Ten made him a defining voice of melodic techno, and he has been running his own label, Herzblut Recordings, alongside it.
He is a considered booking for this venue. Savaya sits 100 metres above the ocean on the Pecatu cliffs, built around the illuminated Cube and a run of clifftop pools, and has been voted the number one club in Asia. Doors at 3:00 PM give the afternoon to the pools and the support DJs, but Bodzin’s sound is built for the dark — the set comes into its own once the sun is gone and the lights take over the cliff.
Early-bird admission is Rp 600,000 and the event is strictly 21+ with valid photo ID required at the door. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, capacity is limited to ticket holders and table reservations, and VIP tables are booked separately through the venue.
Practical notes: this is a Saturday, so allow 90 minutes or more from Canggu or Seminyak and leave earlier than the map suggests. Dress smart-casual — the door code is enforced and beachwear will not get you in. Bring a card as well as cash, and arrange your ride home in advance, because taxis thin out fast on the cliff road after midnight.
