Sunrise Beach Yoga Sanur
Sunrise Beach Yoga Sanur
Every morning along Sanur Beach’s famous seaside promenade, you’ll find groups of locals and visitors unrolling mats and settling into their practice as the sun rises over the Lombok Strait. This is Sanur’s free community beach yoga — casual, open to everyone, and one of the most quietly rewarding ways to start a day in Bali.
Sessions run daily, typically from around 7:00am for 60–75 minutes. They’re led by volunteer instructors, both local Balinese yogis and visiting teachers passing through, which means the style and energy varies day to day. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal — no levels, no judgement, no sales pitch at the end.
The main gathering spots are around Pantai Segara Ayu and Pantai Karang, both accessible via public beach entrances along Jalan Danau Tamblingan. On weekdays, classes are most consistent. Weekends are more informal, with Saturday sunrise flows starting as early as 6:30am and Sunday sessions varying.
Bring your own yoga mat or a towel — no equipment is provided. Wear light, breathable clothing. After the session, the beach promenade has no shortage of good cafés for a coconut water or breakfast.
