Ikan Balado

Ikan Balado is tasty and healthy, it will become a family favorite. This dish is best to serve with rice and saute kangkung.

  • 1 Kg Skipjack Tuna
  • 6 Pcs Red Chilli
  • 5 Pcs Thai Chilli
  • 7 Pcs Shallots
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Segment of Ginger
  • 1 Tomato
  • 3 Pcs of bay leaf
  • 1 Lemongrass
  • 3 Tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons of bouillon
  • 1 Teaspoon Oyster Sauce
  • 100 ml Cooking Oil

How to Cook


clean the skipjack tuna and cut into small pieces.


Heat the oil and fry the fish until golden brown then drain.


Puree garlic, onions, red, red chilies, cayenne pepper, and tomatoes with a blender/chopper machine. Smash  the lemongrass, ginger, dan galangal.


Heat the oil for frying. Enter the ginger, galangal, bay leaf and lemongrass, after wilting add the spices that have been smashed. Saute until cooked.


After the stir-fried spices are cooked and reddish, add the sweet soy sauce, bouillon, salt, brown sugar, oyster sauce, stir until smooth.


Enter the fish that has been fried and stir stir for 5 minutes.


After 5 minutes remove and serve.
