Ikan Bakar Jimbaran

Ikan Bakar is easy to find in Bali, especially in Jimbaran. This recipe is easy to cook at home healthy and remind you of Jimbaran Bali.

  • 1 medium white snapper fish
  • 6 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 chilies
  • 5 big red chilies
  • a tomato
  • half teaspoon of shrimp paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 lemongrass
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons bouillon
  • 2 teaspoons palm sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

How to Cook


Place shallots, garlic, chillies, big red chillies, tomato, shrimp paste in a food processor and process into a paste.


Heat cooking oil in the pan , add Heat cooking oil in the pan. Add spices paste, lemongrass, bay leaves, salt, bouillon, palm sugar, and stir.


Stir the spices for 15 minutes.


Rub the fish with spices.


Grill the fish for 30 minutes.


Ikan Bakar is ready to serve.
