Bakso is one of the popular street food in Indonesia and you can find it easily in Indonesia. This is the Beef Bakso recipe, and you can replace the beef with chicken.

- 600 grams mince beef
- 70 grams ice cube
- 4 tablespoons of fried shallot
- 7 cloves of garlic
- 3 teaspoons of white pepper
- half teaspoon of baking powder
- 60 grams tapioca flour
- 4 teaspoons of salt
- 3 teaspoons of MSG
- 4 teaspoons of bouillon powder
- 2.5 liter of water
How to Cook
Place minced beef, ice cube, 2 tablespoons of fried shallot, 3 cloves of garlic, one teaspoon of white pepper, baking powder, tapioca flour, one teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of bouillon powder in a food processor.
Boil 1 liter of water.
Use your hand to make the meatball and place them directly into the boiling water.
Cook the meatballs until well done cooked then drain the meatballs.
Place 4 cloves of garlic and 2 tablespoons of fried shallot and 2 teaspoons of white pepper in a food processor and process into a paste.
Boil 1.5 liters of water and add mixed spices paste into the water.
Add 3 teaspoons of salt, MSG, 2 teaspoons of bouillon powder for the flavor and stir.
Boil for 15 minutes and add the meatball into the soup.
Boil for another 20 minutes.
Bakso is ready to serve.
Bakso is best to serve with tofu, rice noodles, and fried shallot as a garnish.
