  • 250 gram egg noodles
  • 250 boneless chicken
  • 100 gram chicken fat
  • 4 pcs pok choi
  • 10 cloves of garlic
  • 6 shallots
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 4 teaspoon of white pepper
  • one teaspoon of coriander seeds
  • 5 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 100 ml cooking oil
  • 1 liter water

How to Cook

Preparing Chicken Fat


Heat 50 ml oil, add chicken fat, coriander seeds, and 4 cloves of garlic. Stir until the fat melts.
Strain the chicken fat and put it in a jar.

Preparing Chicken Topping


Cut the chicken into small cubes.
Place shallots, 6 garlic cloves of garlic, white pepper, and ginger in a food processor and process into a paste.
Heat cooking oil in the wok, and add the spices paste, and bay leaves. Stir for 10 minutes.
Add the chicken and 75 ml water.
After 10 minutes add salt, sugar, soy sauce, and sweet soy sauce for the flavor. Stir the chicken for 20 – 25 minutes more.


Boil the water and cook pok choi for 2 minutes and drain.


Boil new water and cook the noodle for 5 minutes and drain.


Place a pinch of salt, two tablespoons of soy sauce, a pinch of white pepper powder, and 3 teaspoons of chicken fat into a bowl. .


Add noodles into the bowl and mix.


Add the chicken and pok choi as toppings


Mie Ayam ready to serve.
